Warranty Information

At VK Direct Lee & Glenn have built a solid reputation based around fantastic customer service, great communication, great quality products. We take pride in standing behind what we sell and manufacture. To us, our reputation is everything. The test is when you have a problem, we are very contactable and treat you like we would expect to be treated.

Antenna Warranty:

12 months warranty from date of purchase.

Anytone Transceiver Warranty:

12 months warranty from date of purchase. Minor failures – the radio may be repaired. Major failures – the radio will be replaced as long as stock is available – otherwise the purchase price will be refunded.

Hardware Component Warranty:

The hardware warranty for non VK4NGA manufactured modem boards, Raspberry-Pi boards and screens is 12 months from date of purchase.

VK4NGA manufactured modem (MMDVM) boards and DuraNode Allstar RF hats: 2 years from date of purchase.

NOTE: It should be noted If you overtighten the antenna/s, alter or damage the hardware or wiring, apply a soldering iron, use a faulty power supply the hardware warranty is immediately void.

Power Supply Component Warranty:

3 months warranty from date of purchase.

Accessories Warranty including Micro SD Cards:

3 months warranty from date of purchase.

Fully Built Hotspot/Node Warranty:

The hardware warranty is 24 months from date of purchase.

An off frequency radio will result in erratic RF communication to DuraSpot & ShackSpot hotspot models. Many Chinese DMR radios suffer from poor frequency calibration. HOTSPOTS ARE TESTED FOR FREQUENCY ACCURACY BEFORE SHIPPING. WE DO NOT OFFER CUSTOMER SUPPORT IF YOU HAVE AN OFF FREQUENCY RADIO ISSUE. NOR WILL VK DIRECT OFFER A RETURN FOR REFUND ON A HOTSPOT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.

NOTE: If you over-tighten the antenna/s, alter or damage the hardware or wiring, apply a soldering iron, use a faulty power source (such as a car USB port) the hardware warranty is immediately void.

Power Supply when supplied with Fully Built Products:

12 months warranty from date of purchase.

Micro SD Card when supplied with Fully Built Products:

3 months warranty from date of purchase.

Software Provided with Fully Built Products:

The software known as Pi-Star is supplied “as is” and is open source. We simply provide a basic level of support to get you “on air”. If you alter the original configuration in any way, you risk causing the hotspot to malfunction and as such, support will be provided at a cost. ALSO if you decide to install the WPSD dashboard or full software package, we don’t support that at all, as such, support will be limited to making a replacement Micro SD card with Pi-Star which will be at a cost to you.

The software known as Hamvoip – Allstar software used in the DuraNode is supplied “as is” and is open source. We simply provide a basic level of support to get you “on air”. If you alter the original configuration in any way, you risk causing the node to malfunction and as such, support will be limited to making a replacement Micro SD card which will be at a cost to you.

Returning your Product/Hotspot/Node for Service/Repair:

If you need to return your product/hotspot or node for warranty repair/service/support the return postage will be at your cost.

If it is determined that the issue has been caused by an alteration to the original configuration you may be asked to pay for software installation/configuration plus the postage cost to return it to you.

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Moreover, You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.
